Abstract:

This study aims to analyze students’ creative thinking skills through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model on the topic of changes in the state of matter in Grade IV at SDN Jatitengah 1. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the fourth-grade teacher and 25 students. The results showed that the implementation of PJBL improved students’ creative thinking skills, as evidenced by aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration in completing their projects. Students were able to develop unique ideas, conduct experiments using simple materials, and communicate their results creatively. These findings confirm that PJBL is effective in fostering elementary school students’ creative thinking skills in contextual science learning.
